I've learned that you've just got to be patient... if you search to hard you'll probably be disappointed. Just be hopeful and optimistic. That special someone is out there.
Another good piece of advice is really know what you want but also be flexible. I know that sounds really complicated, but when you meet someone, they're probably not going to have everything you are looking for. Sometimes the relationships that work the best are the ones that surprise the most people.
